Ticket info for First Lady Michelle Obama’s Durango, CO Event

First Lady Michelle Obama will be in southern Colorado on October 10th, 2012 speaking to grassroots supporters in Durango, Colorado.

The event is open to the public and will be at the Whalen Gymnasium on the Fort Lewis College Campus located at 1000 Rim Drive in Durango, Colorado.

Doors open at 2:15 p.m. mountain standard time.

First Lady Michelle Obama will also be at speaking at events Cortez and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Tickets are available at the following locations on a first-come, first-served basis starting on Saturday, October 6, at 1:00 PM MDT, and will continue if tickets are still available on Sunday, October 7, at 1:00 PM MDT, Monday, October 8 at 10:00 AM MDT, and Tuesday, October 9, at 10:00 AM MDT.

Man fires shots at Tribal Police

Jicarilla Apache Police, New Mexico State Police and other local agencies are searching for a man who fired on a Jicaralla Apache Police Officer Tuesday evening.

Highway 64 is closed just east of Dulce while officials search for the suspect gunman.


Tio Grande Fire Closes U.S. 64

A new fire, called the Tio Grande Fire is burning in the Carson National Forest and has closed U.S. Highway 64 in both directions between Tres Piedras and Tierra Amarilla.

The Tio Grande fire is estimated at 1 1/2 acres according to fire information officer Dorotea Martinez.

The fire was started by lightning and fire crews are hiking to the fire tonight.

I-40 closed westbound east of Albuquerque

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department closed I-40 westbound near Zuzax about 3:15 p.m. Monday.

The Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle that rolled sending 3 children and 1 adult to the hospital according to Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Captain Jason Katz.

The extent of the injuries to the 4 people injured is unknown at this time.

Albuquerque Police Officer Joey Sigala was taken into custody Wednesday evening after his wife called 911 according to Albuquerque Police public information officer Robert Gibbs.

Police tell News 13 that Sigala’s wife claimed that her husband had beaten her.

It is unknown what type of charges Joey Sigala will be face at this time.
