Santa Fe Police Department has announced the following closures for Fiestas de Santa Fe. The closures will begin Thursday September 4th at 6:00 a.m. and run through Sunday September 7th at 9:00 p.m.
- Palace Avenue will be closed from Sheridan Stree to Washington Avenue.
- Nusbaum Street will be closed.
- Old Santa Fe Trail will be closed from east Water Street to east San Francisco Street.
- East San Francisco Street will be closed from Don Gaspar to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.
- Lincoln Stree will be closed from west Marcy Street to west Place Avenue.
The following closures are event-specific closures.

Entrada de Don de Vargas – 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Police escort will depart from Peralta Park, 106 S. Federal Place, east onto S. Federal Place, then south on Lincoln Avenue and then cross W. Palace Avenue arriving at the Plaza. The route will be closed during the procession.

Desfile de Los Ninos (Pet Parade) – 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
The parade route will be closed. Paseo de Peralta is closed from E. Marcy Street to the parking lot of NM School for the Arts. (Registration for the event is held 6 a.m. – 8: 30 p.m. at New Mexico School for the Arts, 275 East Alameda Street) W. Palace Avenue is closed from Paseo de Peralta to Grant Avenue, and then Grant Avenue is closed west to W. Marcy Street. W. Marcy Street is closed north to Paseo de Peralta.
Gran Baile – 6:00 p.m. until midnight
A procession will take place starting at 6 p.m. at the Plaza then head west to W. Palace Avenue and north on Grant Avenue ending at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy Street. W. The route will be closed during the procession.
Sunday, September 7, 2014
Solemn Procession – 9:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m.
The procession route will be closed and begin at the Palace of the Governors, 105 W Palace Ave, and proceed east to Cathedral Place, ending at Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
Desfile de la Gente, Historical/Hysterical Parade – 12:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Parade route will be closed and begin at the eastside of DeVargas Center, 564 N. Guadalupe St. Participants will travel south on N. Guadalupe Street to W. Alameda, east on W. Alameda, north onto Sandoval Street, east onto W. Place Avenue, then north onto Paseo de Peralta. From there participants will then head north on N. Guadalupe Street for the conclusion of the route.
Candlelight Procession – 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Procession route will be closed beginning at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, 131 Cathedral Place, and participants will head east on E. Place Avenue, then north on Paseo de Peralta ending at the Cross of the Martyrs.
