Drying Out

Though a storm system will be working through Colorado tonight and Thursday, drier air will continue to work into New Mexico. Expect only spot storms across the far northern New Mexico and southern Colorado during the day Thursday. Otherwise, partly to mostly sunny skies will prevail.

Friday will also be a nice day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures staying in check. The quiet weather continues for the weekend, but temperatures will be warming to near or above average. If you have outdoor plans, showers and storms will not be a concern, but make sure to have plenty of water on hand.

The weather stays dry through the first half of next week. Then models disagree for the second half. One forecast model pushes ample moisture across the state allowing for widespread showers and storms. The other model keeps us dry.

Most of the state will stay dry Thursday with spot storm chances far north and east.

I knew that looked familiar, it means the yellow starts to show in the grasses of nature.
