Three Whitespotted Bamboo Sharks hatched Monday August 18, 2014 at the ABQ BioPark Aquarium.

The sharks are about four inches long and will grow up to three feet in length.

BioPark Officials say, “Whitespotted bamboo sharks breed very well in captivity”, said Holly Casman, Aquarium Manager. “Once they are bigger, we look forward to including these pups into our Shark/Ray Encounter, where visitors will be able to touch them and learn about shark growth and development”.

The sharks are currently on display for the public.
