Albuquerque Public Schools volunteers will be handing out school supplies to students in need at Milne Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 8 a.m. until the goods are gone.

The supplies will be in bags that include such items as crayons, pencils, paper and glue for younger students and spiral notebooks, pens, binders, and compasses for middle and high school students.

The district has been collecting thousands of bags with supplies through their school supply drive throughout the summer. Among the supporters of these drives were Walmart and the Albuquerque Corporate Volunteer Council who held a “Fill-the-Bus Drive” encouraging locals to fill school buses with back-to-school items.

APS expects that thousands will benefit from the drive.
