New Mexico-based national non-profit Innovate+Educate announced Wednesday that it will be hosting its first TalentABQ career event titled “Skills to Jobs Talent Fair” on September 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North.
TalentABQ is a joint initiative led by Innovate+Educate in partnership with the City of Albuquerque, the Department of Workforce Solutions, Central New Mexico Community College and Mayor Richard Berry to connect employers and job seekers across Albuquerque to both education and employment opportunities. TalentABQ connects employers and job seekers through the common language of skills.
The event will be held in conjunction with a special reception with the mayor and the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions Secretary Celina Bussey at 5:30 pm and will serve as a space for job seekers to bring their skill assessment scores and show how qualified they are for each employer’s open positions.
