Public input wanted for children’s winter activitiesAugust 20th, 2014 at 8:56 pm by Chelo Rivera under Latest Posts
This winter you could have more access to the Sandias.
The U.S. Forest Service and the Talking Talons Youth Leadership will be hosting public meetings so the community can come up with a plan to get more kids involved in winter activities.
That includes reopening the Capulin snow play area which has been closed for a couple of years.
They also want roads up to the crest plowed during winter so people will have access to various trail-heads for sledding and skiing.
The first public meeting is Tuesday at the James McGrane Safety Complex in Tijeras.
