Bernalillo County’s Open Space program is back after a summer break and they will be hosting three outdoor workshops Saturday.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, Richard C. Chapman, Ph.D. will present on the Old Plaza de Alameda settlements in Albuquerque at Bachechi Open Space, 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. N.W., from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Aspiring farmers are encouraged to check out Backyard Barnyard II: Goats, Sheep, Pigs and Cows from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House, 6029 Isleta Blvd. S.W.
Additional Open Space will host, What is the Taste of Rain? as part of the Families Exploring the Wonder of Nature Series from 10:00until 11:30 a.m. at Bachechi Open Space, 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. N.W.
Families are welcome at these events and registration is free.
