Plenty of Moisture This WeekJuly 28th, 2014 at 6:15 am by John Smith under Weather
An active end to the weekend led to an active start to the workweek. Many showers and storms from Sunday night lingered into Monday morning. After seeing a midday break from the showers and storms, expect another round to develop during the afternoon. Rainfall could be heavy at times and lead to flash flooding.
Moisture continues to fuel showers and storms during the day Tuesday, then another reinforcing shot of moisture arrives Wednesday in the form of another back door cold front. This front will not only provide more moisture, but it will also cool temperatures for the end of the workweek.
With a ridge of high pressure sitting out to the west, the door for additional cold fronts will remain open through the weekend. While no one day through the next week will be a washout, be on the lookout for passing showers and storms each afternoon and evening.
