Six Japanese students will stay in Santa Fe with host families through Sunday as part of an exchange program with the city of Tsuyama, Japan.
According to a news release from the city of Santa Fe, the cities have been sister cities since 1995. Every two or three years, 20 students from Santa Fe have the opportunity to visit Tsuyama.
The six students from Japan who arrived in New Mexico on Tuesday studied English before their arrival. During their stay, they will take part in historical, educational, and outdoor experiences around Santa Fe.
Tsuyama is one of 10 sister cities in the sister cities program.
