3. A hint of good news for New Mexico’s children. The latest Kids Count survey is out, and New Mexico no longer ranks 50th in the nation, we’re now 49th. Mississippi ranks lower. The survey says the number of kids living in poverty and the teen birth rate have both dropped. while high school graduation is up.

2. Three teens accused of killing two homeless men in Albuquerque will be charged as adults. Alex Rios, Nathaniel Carrillo, and Gilbert Tafoya could get a life sentence if they’re convicted as adults. Now the question is; where were their parents? And, could they get in trouble too? The district attorney says to charge parents she would need evidence to prove they knew about the criminal behavior and didn’t do anything about it.
