A Toasty Saturday with Some Storms…July 19th, 2014 at 9:09 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
The triple digits have returned to New Mexico! Southern New Mexico topped out in the in the triple digits while others like Socorro got pretty close to the century mark on Saturday afternoon. While the south baked in the heat, the northern mountains and parts of eastern New Mexico picked up more beneficial rain with even a few severe storms rolling through.
Storms will remain in the forecast for Sunday, but they aren’t going to be widespread. The bigger story will be the return of the heat. Temperatures will continue to be 5-10° above average for Sunday and into early next week.
