Flash Flooding Possible for Parts of NM…July 13th, 2014 at 6:37 am by chrisgilson under Weather
A cold front diving south overnight has brought in more moisture and energy to trigger widespread t-storms in Northeast New Mexico today. Due to the slow movement expected with some of these storms, the flash flooding threat will be very high in this part of the state. A Flash Flood Watch runs from 12PM – 11PM Sunday for the area shaded in light green. Remember to give yourself extra time if you find yourself in a heavy downpour, do not cross any flooded roadways, and stay away from the arroyos.
Moisture will continued to be pumped into the state and along with series of cold fronts much of New Mexico will remain in the mix for scattered storms this week.
