ABQ RIDE to hold public meetings for Title VI programJuly 11th, 2014 at 9:19 pm by Chelo Rivera under Latest Posts
The City of Albuquerque Transit Department (ABQ RIDE) will hold two public meetings on the Department’s 2014 Title VI program, the first of which is tomorrow, July 12.
The meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about the department’s 2014 Title VI program. It is also a chance to provide comments, before the program is finalized and submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
The two public meetings will be:
- Saturday, July 12, 2014 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Alvarado Transportation Center-2nd Floor Training Room 100 1st St SW (corner of 1st and Central)
- Wednesday, July 16, 2014 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cesar Chavez Community Center 7505 Kathryn SE (corner of Kathryn Ave. and Louisiana Blvd. SE)
The FTA requires each transit provider to prepare a Title VI program every three years, describing how the agency complies with Title VI in providing its service. New to this 2014 program is a policy defining “major service changes.”
The draft 2014 Title VI program is available for review and comment online at http://myabqride.com or at ABQ RIDE’s offices on the second floor of 100 1st St SW. The deadline for comments is Sunday, July 20, 2014.
