3. Albuquerque firefighters received 1233 calls about illegal fireworks over the weekend. The number’s down more than 100 calls from last year. Fire crews issued 17 citations, including one to a group of Buddhist Monks who said they didn’t know their fireworks were illegal.

2. The immigration crisis is continuing as immigrants continue to pour into the United States illegally over the Mexican border. The White House now wants to change the laws that say the government cannot reject most children from entering the U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) says people in Artesia are warming up to the Law Enforcement Training Center that’s holding women and children.
