More Scattered Showers…July 2nd, 2014 at 9:36 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
The storm crop today across the state has been a little leaner than it was yesterday. However, we are still seeing many storms forming over the mountains and working their way into the valleys. The overall set up really is pretty good to pick up some storms in the Albuquerque metro area. With north to south store movement we are likely see some storms form off the northern mountains and at least scrape the metro over the next couple days.
The forecast for the Fourth of July looks interesting. We’ll see the chance of late evening and overnight thunderstorms but for the most part we should be dry enough in most areas to carve out the time to get fireworks in. The chance for storms will continue throughout the holiday weekend at least in a scattered fashion. It does look promising next week. We are likely to see more widespread thunderstorms across the state.
