Day Planner: Thursday, June 26th, 2014

June 26th, 2014 at 6:42 am by under Weather

It’s going to be a hot and dry day in New Mexico today.  Mostly sunny skies with highs near 96° in the metro area.  We’ll be tracking a few more locations with highs in the 100s today, mainly S and SE.  Winds will also start to pick up today.  They will be breezy out of the W-SW 10-20 mph.  These winds + high heat + dry air will place much of the area under a high fire threat.  Fire weather watches have already been put in place for Friday.  Some locations in Southern Colorado have Red Flag Warnings in place as well.  Tonight, mostly clear and pleasant, lows near 68°. Looking ahead, temperatures will remain hot extending through the weekend.

Have a great Thursday!
