More Hot Days Ahead…June 22nd, 2014 at 9:55 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
The spotty storms popping up in southern and eastern New Mexico should wind down over the next few hours. Eastern New Mexico could be pretty active though on Monday and Tuesday. That’s because there’s still a decent amount of moisture in place for scattered storms to fire for the first half of the work week. Some of them could be strong to even severe. While central and western New Mexico will stay hot and mostly dry. There’s only a small chance for a pop-up t-storm in Albuquerque over the next two days.
By mid-week, drier air will return and that will limit shower chances for eastern New Mexico. If we do see any storms develop on Wednesday or Thursday, they’ll be confined to the northern Mountains and southern Colorado.
