A Few Storms to End the Week

It will be hot today, especially south and east. Highs across the south will reach the upper 90s to low 100s. Albuquerque will be in the low to mid 90s this afternoon. Expect breezy to windy conditions across the central part of the state as well, including the metro.

A few storms will be possible late today across the northeast. These storms are due to a cold front that will cross the eastern half of the state through Thursday. There will be better shower and storm chances across the east during the day Thursday, as well as cooler temperatures.

Friday into Saturday another source of moisture could impact south central New Mexico. Some tropical moisture could get pulled up from the south leading to showers and storms for areas like Las Cruces, Alamogordo, T or C, and Socorro. Albuquerque could even see a storm or two, but the chances will be better farther south.

A cold front will help fire storms across the northeast Thursday.

A southerly moisture draw will lead to a few storms south and central this weekend.

We enjoy the weather news, especially about our area, which is the Guadalupe Mountains….many do not understand our weather is sometimes totally different from the mountains north (Cloudcroft and Ruidoso)…yet also different from the town of Carlsbad. Please continue to at least mention us once in a while!
    Thanks!
