Another Hot Day Ahead…May 18th, 2014 at 7:08 am by chrisgilson under Weather
A mix of sun and clouds will greet you as you head out the door today. But, the extra clouds won’t keep our temperatures down. Highs will once again be in the 80s to near 90 in Albuquerque with the southeast corner of the state approaching 100° in places like Roswell and Carlsbad.
The main difference between today and your Saturday will be the increasing winds. They won’t be out of control, but strong enough to raise the fire danger. Winds will gust from 35-45 mph at times. The strongest winds look to be in northeast New Mexico this afternoon. So Red Flag Warnings are posted for central and northern New Mexico this afternoon. That means you don’t want to do any outdoor burning.
