Endangered Species Awareness Week at the zoo

May 13th, 2014 at 12:56 pm by under Latest Posts

This is a great week to learn about some animals you may not know much about, or the fact that they’re endangered.

This week is Endangered Species Awareness Week at the Albuquerque BioPark and each day features a different theme. Tuesday’s theme is how the BioPark helps protect Mexican gray wolves.

On Wednesday, guests can learn about bald eagles and Thursday people will have the chance to better acquaint themselves with the BioPark’s new elephant, Jazmine.

The week will close with a visit to the Tasmanian devil exhibit. The devils are the only ones in the United States.

There will be lots of hands-on activities and learning opportunities.
