System Moves Out Tonight Another Saturday…

April 16th, 2014 at 8:39 pm by under Weather

We have a weak system moving through the state tonight and it will keep winds breezy to gusty overnight in parts of New Mexico.   Snow will be confined to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains where 2-5″ will fall tonight.   This system is a fast mover so we aren’t expecting that much to accumulate this time around in the mountains.

Skies clear out quickly tomorrow morning behind the system and the winds will be lighter.  So get outside and enjoy Thursday because the winds will return with a chance for scattered storms on Saturday.   The models disagree on how much rain we could see, but one thing looks for sure is that much of the state will at least have a shot for a t-storm or two on Saturday.

  1. You know it would be great if you had better weather coverage for the east mountain’s we are defiant than Albuquerque you may pick up more viewers if you had better coverage for us on the east mountains. Right now the winds are about 30+ mph. Just a thought. Thanks for your time.
