Time for the five things you need to know before you go this morning.

5. A grim story from the other side of the globe where a ferry with almost 500 people on it, mostly students, has sunk. So far we know at least 2 are dead. Dozens hurt are hurt and a couple hundred are missing.

4. Take a look at this, we’re now getting a glimpse of what’s going on underground at the WIPP site as investigators try to find where a radiation leak came from back in February. The teams are wearing hazmat suits and are more than 2,000 feet below ground. See all the pictures and learn more at krqe.com.

3. It’s a story everyone’s looking at on KRQE.com to see a kid who fell off a cliff in Sandoval county yesterday. Sky News 13 caught the rescue on camera. The 12-year-old fell when he was hiking with his dad and some friends. The child is in the hospital this morning. We haven’t heard how he’s doing.

2. A big talker this morning, Albuquerque’s police oversight commission is looking for three new members. After Jonathan Siegel, Richard Shine and Jennifer Barela quit yesterday. This is the same POC the Department of Justice criticized last week, saying it had no real power.
