Another round of wind and showers…April 6th, 2014 at 7:52 am by chrisgilson under Weather
More snow fell in the Northern Mountains overnight. According to the National Weather Service some of the highest elevations in Taos County picked up about 8 inches of snow this weekend. Red River had a couple of rounds of light to moderate snow from Saturday into Sunday morning.
Another system is going to move into New Mexico this afternoon and that means more wind and shower chances for much of New Mexico. Most of the shower activity will be focused along the central mountain chain and to the east. While central and western New Mexico will deal with strong, gusty winds and, of course, blowing dust. Wind advisories are posted for parts of northwest New Mexico until 9 PM Sunday night.
