A Few Showers This WeekMarch 24th, 2014 at 12:26 pm by John Smith under Weather
Today will be mostly sunny and mild. Then we watch a few storms pass to south and the north through the rest of the week.
The first storm will pass along southern New Mexico late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Though it’s not very strong, it will be able to draw up some moisture. Locally heavy rainfall is possible across the southern third of the state. Once this storm clears Wednesday morning, another weak storm sets up to the north.
Ahead of the next next storm, winds will kick up for Wednesday. Showers will develop across the Four Corners late Wednesday and advance to the Northern Mountains Thursday. Most of the shower activity will be confined to near the Colorado state line and points north. Another storm will quickly scrape the state on Friday.
Despite some small fluctuations in the temperatures throughout the week, afternoon highs are expected to remain near to a few degrees above normal. After Friday’s scraper storm exits, a warm southwest flow will take over. This will warm temperatures throughout the weekend and into early next week.
