Five things you need to know before you go this morning.

5. Congratulations to the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University. Both teams will be playing in the Mountain West conference during March Madness.The Lobos take on Stanford in St. Louis this Friday at 11:40 am on TBS. The Aggies take on San Diego State Thursday afternoon.

4. If you are Eastbound on I-40 in the Albuquerque Metro area overnight tonight, and you want to got north our south on I-25, you’ll have to take a detour. The interchange ramps will close tonight at 9 pm and remain closed until 5 am tomorrow morning for installation of an overhead sign.

3. The competency report on Mason Campbell is expected to be delivered to the district attorney today. Campbell is the 12 year old accused of shooting two fellow classmates inside Berrendo Middle School in Roswell last month. We’re told the report will not be released to the public, and is part of the investigation.

2. Another Albuquerque police shooting last night in the foothills, near Tramway and Copper. It started about four Sunday afternoon when APD Open Space police got a call about illegal camping. The SWAT team was called in when the situation escalated, the suspect was shot by police about 10:15pm. APD Chief Gordon Eden says the man kept threatening officers with knives. The man is now in critical condition at a local hospital.

1.It’ll be sunny with a high near 71 this St. Patrick’s Day, Breezy with a light and variable wind becoming west 20 to 25 mph in the morning. Tonight, there will be areas of blowing dust before 9pm, then mostly clear with a low around 33. Breezy with a west wind 20 to 25 mph becoming north 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
