Cooler Then Another Storm…March 11th, 2014 at 9:34 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
A cold front will continue its progress across New Mexico overnight. We could pick up a few showers over the east slopes of the northern mountains. However, the big impact will be the aforementioned temp drop and gusty winds through Wednesday morning. A good portion of eastern NM will see blowing dust. By Wednesday afternoon clear skies and calming winds will be the rule.
On Thursday all eyes will be on a storm system to our west. The storm will pass through the state on Friday packing some mountain snow and some scattered valley storms. Could this be a nice snow maker? Here is a quick look at model snow projections. 6″+ looks very possible.
