A Work Week Warm Up

March 3rd, 2014 at 12:32 pm by under Weather

A much quieter work week is in store for the state. After a big cool down, especially for the east, temps will start to warm up today. After being stuck in the teens yesterday from Clayton to Tucumcari, afternoon highs today will warm well into the 40s. Albuquerque will reach near 60° this afternoon. A weak disturbance crosses the state today leading to some clouds. Even a couple of spot snow showers will be possible over the higher terrain.

A storm passes just north of the state Tuesday. Mountain snow will be possible over Southern Colorado, with spot snow possible over the Northern Mountains. Most of the state will just see breezy conditions Tuesday afternoon. Afternoon highs will continue to warm as well.

After a brief cool down for the east on Wednesday, temperatures will continue to climb to well above average Thursday. Albuquerque will reach near 70°, while parts of the southeast will warm to the 80s by Friday.
