Time for the five things you need to know before you go this morning.

5. Metro courts will be closed tomorrow and Saturday for a new computer system to be installed. First appearances will happen on Sunday and things should be back to normal on Monday.

4. Gas prices in New Mexico are on their way up 20 cents in the last month and they could go up more this spring. Milk’s about to get more expensive too, blame that on other countries using more of it.

3. Geat news for New Mexico , we’re one of four states officially still in the running to get a massive battery plant from Tesla. The company now says that would be worth around $4 billion and more than 6,000 jobs. Tesla’s also thinking about Arizona, Texas and Nevada.

2. An important meeting today in Carlsbad for the WIPP radiation leak The department of energy confirms 13 workers have tested positive for radiation from the leak on Valentine’s day, but says the amount of radiation released isn’t harmful.

1. Today there will be a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Skies will be partly sunny with a high near 65. Tonight there is a 20 percent chance of showers with partly cloudy skies and a low around 40. West winds will come 5 to 10 mph.
