Winter’s Not Over Yet!February 26th, 2014 at 12:34 pm by John Smith under Weather
Colder air has settled into the east, while the rest of the state will cool a few degrees today. Then a storm moves in for Thursday. This first storm will scrape the Northern Mountains, delivering some snow to the west facing slopes. Most of the state will see wind from this storm with gusts as high as 40 mph. The storm quickly moves out, but another storm moves in for the weekend.
The second storm will draw some moisture out ahead of it. Some showers could develop across the west as early as Friday night, but most of the precip will arrive Saturday as the storm drops into the state. The mountains will see more snow, with the west facing slopes once again favored. Lower elevations, including the Albuquerque metro, will see scattered rain showers through Sunday.
