Dry weather, gusty winds, and very warm temps made for a high fire danger on Sunday afternoon.   Fortunately, the fire danger has gone down Sunday night, but the winds will remain very strong until early Monday morning.   A wind advisory continues for the counties in yellow until 4am Monday morning for gusts of 50-55 mph.   The winds will be much lighter by Monday afternoon.

But, it looks like the fire danger won’t go away anytime soon.   More dry weather is expected for much of the state over the next week.
