5. For the time being, vandals have ruined the New Mexico Railrunner’s free WiFi system, doing thousands of dollars in September along an eight mile stretch of track. The commuter rail has the equipment to make the necessary repairs however it cannot install it just yet.

4. There’s a push in the New Mexico Legislature to fund a training program for firefighters to prepare them as first responders in the event there’s an active shooter.

2. Two APD officers are on leave because of a 911 call made six months before 9 year old Omaree Varela died after allegedly being kicked to death by his mother. 1. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow today, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy with a high near 39. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight there’s a 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy with a low around 20. East wind 10 to 15 mph. New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible.
