The Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program (AYS Program) will hold its annual Playathon Saturday, February 1 from 1:00-5:30pm at Cottonwood Mall, 10000 Coors Bypass NW – Center Court.

The Playathon is a free concert designed to introduce all 13 AYS Program ensembles to the community. It is also the culmination of one of the AYS Program’s largest fundraisers. The funds, raised during a month-long effort by AYS Program participants, help pay for program expenses including the rental of sheet music, outreach tours, concert venue rental, and the cost of instruction. The event also features an “Instrument Petting Zoo” where kids and families can learn about and touch the instruments in the orchestra.
