Changes ahead for this weekend…January 4th, 2014 at 7:23 am by chrisgilson under Weather
It’s going to be a pretty nice Saturday for most of New Mexico. But, despite a few extra clouds and some strong, gusty winds ahead of a cold front, temperatures will climb above average for central and southern New Mexico. Winds will be sustained from 20-30 mph with gusts from 40-50 mph.
The cold front will bring light snow to northern New Mexico Saturday night into Sunday. Accumulations will range from 1-3 inches. Travel could be a tough go early Sunday morning along I-25 near the Raton Pass. After the front moves through, highs across the state will be a little more seasonable for your Sunday. But, it won’t take long for temperatures to recover. By Monday, high temperatures will be at average or even above.
