Slightly Cooler Temps on Thursday as Front Moves Through…January 1st, 2014 at 5:40 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
A cold front kicked up the winds on New Year’s Day, but ahead of the front temperatures were well above average for this time of year. By Thursday, the winds will come down along with the temperatures. High temps will be cooler, but much closer to seasonable highs compared to Wednesday.
The front is a dry front and we won’t see any rain/snow. It is not until the weekend that we will have to watch a storm system move into the state. Right now, it looks like Southern Colorado, the Northern Mountains, and the Northeast will be favored to get most of the snow. It’s too early to say how much snow could fall, but we’ll continue to watch as the weekend gets closer.
