A nice end to 2013, but some changes ahead…December 31st, 2013 at 5:13 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
A ridge of high pressure has been keeping the dry conditions and mild temperatures locked in place for the end of the 2013. But, we are going to watch a disturbance move in from the northwest on Wednesday. While its impact will be minimal, it will bring some minor changes for the middle of the week.
There will be some light snow over the Northern Mountains on New Year’s Day. But, only a dusting to an inch will fall when all is said and done. Then we will watch a weak cold front move into Eastern New Mexico. This will drop high temperatures some for Thursday, but by Friday the mild weather returns for much of the state.
We’ll have to watch a storm system that could impact parts of the state over the weekend. So stay tuned for more details on that! In the meantime, Happy New Year!
