A Quick Break Before Round 2December 20th, 2013 at 8:29 pm by John Smith under Weather
As of 8:30 Friday evening, the widespread rainfall across the south is starting to exit into Texas. Some scattered precip will continue through the overnight across the south in the form of high elevation snow and lower elevation mix.
Saturday the back end of the storm cross the state. This will combine with another disturbance passing to the north. This will allow for some snow to develop across the Northern Mountains and central high terrain. Even the metro could pick up a couple of showers, but significant accumulation is not expected.
Cooler temps continue Sunday, but skies will clear throughout the day. Next week starts nice with lots of sunshine and slightly warmer temps. Another storm will pass just north of the state Christmas Day. Some light mountain snow will be possible across the north, but impacts for the rest of the state appear to be minimal at this point.
