One More Warm Day…December 18th, 2013 at 9:36 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
Southwest winds crank up ahead of our next storm. Those increasing winds will keep temps up over the area with highs once again in the mid to high 50′s with partly cloudy skies. By Friday a large storm system will approach the state. The storm will spread the chance of showers over southern NM with snow levels pretty high over 8,000′. Friday night the snow level will drop and the chance for showers will move north toward the Albuquerque metro area. Right now it appears only scattered showers and snow showers will be lingering around Saturday. However, this storm could be more problematic if the track shifts farther north. Stay tuned.
By Sunday the system will clear the state. Mostly sunny skies will take over to wrap the weekend.
