Models Still Differ on the Next Storm

The workweek will start very nice! Expect lots of sunshine through midweek. Temperatures will continue to warm as well. By Wednesday most of the state will be 10° – 20° above average for this time of year! Late week will feature a return to winter with our next storm.

The models are starting to come into agreement on the track of the storm. The track at this point takes the storm south of the state. This will mean a statewide cool down, breezy conditions, and showers favoring the southern tier of the state. With this track, the north would only see scattered showers.

Though the models are starting to agree on track, they now disagree on timing. One model still has us on track for a weekend storm, late Friday through early Sunday. Another model doesn’t have the storm arriving until early next week.

We are still several days out from the storm, so we still have time to monitor the models for further agreement. This much is sure: the end of the week will be interesting!
