5. Today congress is set to vote on a plan to keep banning plastic weapons, the ones that could pass through metal detectors and x-ray machines and not get noticed. The current ban expires tomorrow.

4.  One of your last chances to help less fortunate kids have a Merry Christmas. The Marines and Toys for Tots will be out at Carlisle and Menaul until 7pm tonight collecting money and toys. They have almost five thousand kids to help out this year.

3. A deadly police shooting in Albuquerque overnight. Investigators say it started with a fight near Central and University when they went after the guy who did it they say he had a weapon and wouldn’t put it down. Police say they shot him with a bean bag and the guy was still aggressive so they shot him with again with their normal guns. He died at the hospital.

2. If you’re driving out of Albuquerque today give yourself plenty of time especially if you’re driving north and west.

1. Today will be breezy and mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow in the morning then partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 20s to lower 30s with north winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows 5 to 15 degrees.
