Yet Another Storm Closes In…December 6th, 2013 at 10:11 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
A storm dropping in from the NW will deliver another round of mountain snow, gusty winds and more cold air. Snow will increase Saturday over the 4-corners and San Juan Mountains. Some light snow might well develop over the eastern portion of the state as moisture over runs cold air at the surface. Some sleet may fall as well over SE New Mexico.
By late in the day snow will spread over the rest of the northern mountains with significant accumulations most likely over the west slopes. Snow will continue into Sunday before tapering off Sunday night.
Here in the metro area our best chance for snow will be early Sunday morning. However, we are not likely to see significant snow. Yet another cold blast on Monday where highs will top out in the 20′s.
