Here are the five things you need to know before you go.
5.) While you’re out getting ready for your Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, remember to help others who don’t have enough to eat. You can leave food by your mailbox tomorrow or go to Thanksgiving on the mayflower at the Albertson’s on Montgomery near San Mateo.
4.) The winter weather is having a big effect on schools.
3.) Give yourself plenty of extra time as you head out the door this morning. Here in Albuquerque it’s windy and wet. Up north I-25 is snow packed, north of Santa Fe basically all the way to Colorado.
2.) Take a look at the snow falling all around New Mexico. We found this early this morning on I-25 about 15 miles outside of Santa Fe.
1.) We’re not out of the woods yet. Today we’ll have a 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. Windy, with an east wind 25 to 30 mph decreasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Then tonight we’ll have a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
