Chance For Weekend Storms…August 23rd, 2013 at 10:38 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
High pressure is shifting east of New Mexico and this will allow for more monsoonal moisture to push into the state on Saturday. Numerous storms will develop over western NM and scattered storms here in central sections. Highs will top out in the 80′s over the weekend.
Sunday will dry out a bit but western sections will still see a good crop of storms. Meanwhile isolated showers will be possible in Albuquerque and eastern NM as well. The drying trend will continue well into next week. It seems pretty certain we will end up well below average rain wise for the month of August.
