Stormy Weekend?August 22nd, 2013 at 5:19 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
Another very thin crop of thunderstorms set up over the state today. The northern mountains did better than any other area of the state with scattered heavy rain makers over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Storm motion from east to west helped push storms off the mountains into places like Espanola, Los Alamos, and Santa Fe.
Anther down day for storms is on the way for Friday. The northern mtns and NW will have the best chance for showers. it does look more promising this weekend. High pressure will move east opening the door for a weak to moderate monsoon flow to set up. This will mean scattered showers around the metro area and more widespread storms over western sections.
