Any Rain In Our Future?

High-pressure lingering over the Southwest will continue to keep most moisture locked out of New Mexico into the weekend. Spot thunderstorms remain a possibility from Northeast to Southwest over the state but widespread moisture is not expected through at least  Friday. Over the weekend although storms will not be that numerous we will see a better crop of storms as some moisture begins to leak in underneath the high.

A much better pattern sets up for next week as high-pressure begins to move to the east this will open the door for more monsoonal moisture to come up from the south. The chance for afternoon thunderstorms really begins to ramp up on Tuesday and should stay elevated throughout the rest of the work week.
