Will The Front Deliver?August 13th, 2013 at 10:29 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
A cold front will try to muscle its way toward the Albuquerque metro area over the next 24 hours. This front will hardly be strong but it may be strong enough to touch off thunderstorms in central sections of the state on Wednesday afternoon. Most storms that will be concentrated over the northeastern portion of New Mexico and up over the northern mountains were scattered showers will be likely.
Drier conditions are likely to take over Thursday and Friday with just isolated storms possible over much of the state. Over the weekend a weakening area of low pressure could help to touch off a few storms but the monsoon flow pattern doesn’t look great even through Sunday.
