Storms Popping Up Around New Mexico…August 9th, 2013 at 2:35 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
T-storms are beginning to develop across the state and over the Sandia Mountains. The storm over the Sandia Mtns. moved over Edgewood, but it is now pushing off to the North, Northeast rather slowly. So there’s a big concern for flash flooding with this storm. A Severe T-Storm Warning has been posted for Bernalillo Co. Sandoval Co. and parts of Santa Fe Co. until 315. The main threats with the storm will be strong winds and quarter size hail. A Flash Flood Warning has also been posted until 415 because the storm is moving so slow and producing rainfall amounts from 1″ to 1.5″.
