Drying TendAugust 7th, 2013 at 9:58 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
As low-pressure exits the state back behind the storm we will draw dry air into New Mexico for Thursday. The chance for storms will be reduced across most areas with the exception of northeastern New Mexico. The Northeast will see a chance of storms as a cold front continues to be draped across the area. Dry conditions will hold into Friday with little moisture to work with the form storms.
Highs over the next couple of days will be in the high 80s and low 90s in most areas. By Saturday changes roll in once again. Moisture will creep up from the south via the monsoon flow and we will get a better chance at scattered afternoon thunderstorms. More scattered storms are possible on Sunday before high-pressure slides back over the state and shuts off the moisture by Monday.
