Good Old Fashioned Monsoon Flow

The moisture door will open across New Mexico on Wednesday more widespread storms across the state. With high-pressure shifting to our east that will allow for a good crop of monsoon-based afternoon thunderstorms to take hold. Favored areas of the state will be southwest to northeast and the Albuquerque metro area will get a chance of storms as well.

One risk with the increased moisture across the state will be the possibility of flooding with slow-moving thunderstorms. Those slow-moving storms will sit over an area for a prolonged period of time and could lead to an inch or more of rain and some limited spots. Highs will remain in the high 80s and low 90s over the next 3 to 4 days.
