So Where’s The Rain…

July 17th, 2013 at 9:48 pm by under Weather

After another day of soaking rain across southern New Mexico the weather system which has been sitting over the state will slowly work it’s way out. While Albuquerque has not been the focus of most of the storms over the past few days we will start to see the chances of getting thunderstorms increase. As temperatures rise through Friday and moisture continues to reinforce across the metro area we will see an increasing chance of getting thunderstorms each afternoon.  Our best shot looks like Friday and Saturday afternoon with highs in the high 80s.

The chance for storms will start to diminish next week as the monsoon flow begins to cut off at least temporarily. So, if we are going to continue to make up ground on the ground on the drought it will need to be within the next 3 to 4 days.

Wrong “it’s..” End of first sentence. Should be just “its”.
Always insightful weather commentary, though, thanks!
